2019 Faculty Awardees of the John C. Mascaro Fellowships

Get introduced to the 2019 Mascaro Faculty Fellows, Scholars, and Lecturers in Sustainability who represent the interdisciplinary nature of sustainability and departments across the University.

Pitt’s Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation (MCSI) annually awards the John C. Mascaro Faculty Program in Sustainability.  Designed to enhance the university’s mission of interdisciplinary excellence in sustainability research and education, the one-year fellowships go to faculty members from all disciplines across the University who are eligible for the one-year fellowships. The 2019 John C. Mascaro Faculty Fellows, Scholars, and Lecturers in Sustainability are:

John C. Mascaro Faculty Fellows in Sustainability ($20,000 award)

2019 John C. Mascaro Faculty Scholars in Sustainability ($10,000 award)

2019 John C. Mascaro Faculty Lecturers in Sustainability ($5,000 award)

Awards are for one year with the option for renewal for an additional year for the Mascaro fellowships and scholarships.

During the year, fellows are expected to contribute to intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and/or education as well as help to team-teach one sustainability course as part of the University’s undergraduate Certificate in Sustainability and Master’s degree in Sustainable Engineering.
