Campus Tree Trek

Get outside and learn about the variety of tree species on Pitt’s campus.

This newly developed walking route has 17 trees equipped with educational signage to help you learn more about the trees on campus. The Campus Tree Trek highlights the beauty of trees on the University of Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh campus and the University’s commitment to growing tree canopy city-wide.

The Campus Tree Trek is an approximately 1 mile walk that showcases various tree species around campus and takes about 20 minutes to complete.

You can start the walk at any tree along the walking route, just look for the educational signs and scan the QR code.

This trek was a project developed out of the Business and Operations Emerging Leaders Program by Mark Adrian, Jason Beal, Samantha Chan, Stefanie Coburn, and Patty Himelright.
