In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, please join Pitt’s Health Sciences Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for a free viewing of Lake of Betrayal, a documentary exploring the history of the Kinzua Dam on the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania.
Built to prevent flooding downstream in Pittsburgh, the dam displaced more than 600 members of the Seneca Nation.
Post-screening virtual discussion with the filmmakers will focus on the social determinants of health including generational trauma.
