Building a Resilient Food Culture

  • When: Sep 09, 12:00 pm
  • Registration link: Click here
  • Event Type: Public

Federal government policies and expenditures determine, to a considerable degree, how we farm and what we eat. Governmental decisions can help ensure that all people have access to safe, affordable, healthy food; support the farmers and workers who put food on tables; bolster regional food economies; and strengthen commodity and supply chains. Where these policies fall short, there are opportunities for positive change.  Join us as we discuss these issues and priorities with our panel of experts working in and with the federal government.

Panelists

  • Carrie Calvert – Vice President, Government Relations, Feeding America
  • Cheryl Cook – Deputy Secretary, Market Development, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture
  • Joycelyn Pickens – Legislative Assistant, Senator Bob Casey Jr.
