Pitt Electric Propulsion

logo for PEPPitt Electric Propulsion is the first Student Electric Vehicle Team at The University of Pittsburgh.

Founded in 2021, the club mission is to show members how to be the most qualified and competitive students in their respective fields while striving further advancement in EVs and battery technology. Students from all majors are welcome to join.

The club is made up for four different sub-teams:

  • Software: specializes in making the boat autonomous, path-planning, controls, and image recognition.
  • Electrical: works with different battery technologies, high voltage systems, as well as PCB design.
  • Mechanical: takes part in the mechanical design of the boat, steering & cooling system, and battery enclosure.
  • Business / Logistics: handles the logistics for the club, business strategies, and club finances.
