It received LEED Silver certification in 2014 for its 200,474 ft2.

Green Building Highlights

  • Use of green power and regional materials, effectively reducing its carbon footprint.
  • Waste management during construction, taking into account what could be reused and how to properly dispose of waste. More than 75% of construction waste was recycled and diverted from the landfill.
  • More than 20% of all building materials have recycled material.
  • More than 20% of all building materials were extracted and manufactured 500 miles from site.
  • Green roof and stormwater runoff design, successfully reducing the amount of harmful pollutants entering local waterways from stormwater. Green roof benefits include reducing the need for extra indoor cooling in the summer due to the extra layer of cover the green roof provides over the roof, reducing the roof’s temperature.
  • Light-colored paving and roof deck to keep the building and surrounding area cooler in the summer.
  • Water-efficient systems that reduce water usage, like low-flow plumbing fixtures.
  • All adhesives, sealants, paints, coatings, floorings, and carpets have low VOC or no VOC content at all, improving indoor air quality.
