The University of Pittsburgh is proud to have participated in the Planetary Health Report Card process annually since 2023, when it submitted just for the School of Medicine.

In 2026, the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine received an “A-“ overall on the Planetary Health Report Card, ranking 8th out of 54 participants in the United States.

2026 Planetary Health Report Card grades included 4 of the 6 Pitt Health Sciences Schools.

 

 

Dental = B-

  • 8 of 12 participating institutions
  • The School of Dental Medicine completed their second report card in 2026, improving their overall score from a C+ to a B-.

Medicine = A-

  • 8 of 54 participating institutions
  • The School of Medicine  completed their fourth report card in 2026, improving their curriculum score from a D in 2023 to an A- in 2026.

Nutrition = B+

  • 2 of 10 participating institutions
  • The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences' Nutrition & Dietetics program completed their first report card in 2026 and received the highest initial curriculum score out of all Pitt schools so far (B). They are ranked #2 of the 10 participating nutrition schools.

Pharmacy = B

  • 3 of 13 participating institutions
  • The School of Pharmacy improved their curriculum score from a F+ in 2025 to a C- in 2026. They are ranked #3 of the 13 participating pharmacy schools.

  • 3 of 8 participating institutions
  • The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences' Athletic Training program completed their first report card in 2026. They are ranked #3 of the 8 participating schools.
