Cheryl Sorensen

she/her
School Registrar, School of Pharmacy

Cheryl has been at the university in the School of Pharmacy as the School Registrar since 2018. She has completed several professional certifications through the Faculty & Staff Development Program, including the Sustainability Professional Certificate and Tree Tending Training from Tree Pittsburgh.

From a young age growing up on a farm in rural Ohio, Cheryl was transfixed by the natural world around her. She feels that completing the Sustainability Program is something that anyone can participate in to understand better how the university’s and your personal contributions can better the planet now and for future generations. Cheryl’s love for volunteering also allows her to infuse sustainability at Pitt and her local community.

In her spare time, she loves being outdoors, especially hiking, biking, and geocaching. Cheryl is a member of the YMCA Camp Kon-o-Kwee Spencer Volunteer Board and serves on the Property Management and Development committees. She is also a Girl Scout Gold Award recipient and an avid traveler.
