Evelyn holds a masters in biopsychology from Shippensburg University, has been in the biomedical field for more than 25 years, and is a life-long tree hugger. Since a young age, she has been an advocate for recycling and better life practices to support the ecosystem. Additionally, after doing field work in South Africa she became an advocate for sustainability - not only for the environment, but for society as well. She currently aims to reduce the waste created in the research environment (even if on a very small level) and hopes to aid the DLAR in obtaining green office status in the near future.
