Introduction

Salk Hall, located at 3501 Terrace Street on the University of Pittsburgh’s main campus, is home to the School of Pharmacy and the School of Dental Medicine — and famously where Jonas Salk carried out his research on the polio vaccine while at Pitt. The building is designated as a historic landmark of both the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation.

The 80,502 ft2 Salk Hall Pavilion received a LEED Silver certification in 2016
