Engineers for a Sustainable World
The mission of Engineers for a Sustainable World – Pitt Chapter (ESW) is to develop and design sustainability solutions for our campus, region, and world. ESW-Pitt engages engineering (and non-engineering!) students in improving social, environmental, and economic sustainability in their community.
Engineers for a Sustainable World is a national nonprofit which brings together technically minded people to address problems of sustainability both locally and globally.
While projects vary between chapters, ESW at Pitt is focused primarily on local and on-campus projects. We believe that in working towards a sustainable world, the application of engineering principles and green design can help to reduce the impacts of the developed world and improve standards of living in less developed areas.
