Emily Potoczny

Emily Potoczny is the Sustainability Engagement Manager for the Office of Sustainability at the University of Pittsburgh. She helps drive campus-wide resource use reduction, our Pitt Green Office program, and climate change behavior and education initiatives. As a certified TRUE Advisor with operational and technical experience applying Zero Waste principles, Emily is passionate about the necessity of building sustainability into day-to-day work and life, and continuously learning from and adapting to individuals’ needs.

Emily’s prior work includes mentoring businesses, events, and municipalities in sustainability at  Pennsylvania Resources Council and Sustainable Pittsburgh; and mentoring young adults in sustainability at the Student Conservation Association, where she also trained and managed trail building and conservation crews.

Emily has a Bachelor’s in English with a concentration in Environmental Studies from Kenyon College.
