Basic Needs

43% of Pitt Students experience some form of basic needs insecurity.

At the University of Pittsburgh, we work to provide the necessary foundation that allows all our community members to thrive, including access to clean air and water, food, housing, clothing and hygiene, health care, technology, academic and career success services, and transportation — while continuing to address systemic barriers and disparities in access to these resources.
