Reference/Instruction Librarian, University Library System (Bradford Campus)

Kimberly Bailey is a Reference/Instruction Librarian at the Pitt-Bradford Campus Library where she educates and instructs undergraduate students on how to locate and use library resources for their research and informational needs. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Pittsburgh.  She also completed the Sustainability Certificate in 2023.

Kimberly is a life-long resident of Bradford, PA, which is a small rural area in Northwestern Pennsylvania.  She is passionate about increasing the recycling efforts in her hometown. Like many rural areas, recycling programs are usually limited to small city grants.  Many of the townships’ trash services do not provide recycling services.  Kim hopes to change this, especially in establishing more places to dispose of larger items such as televisions, mattresses, and tires, which she often sees scattered or illegally dumped on back roads in the area.

She spends most of her leisure time with her family enjoying the many outdoor activities that her hometown has to offer including boating, fishing, camping, hiking, and strolling through the woods.
