Pitt Pantry

Dedicated to ensuring that all members of the Pitt community have regular access to a balanced and nutritious diet. The Pantry hosts regular shopping hours for Pitt community members to obtain food and services.  It is located in the O’Hara Student Center kitchen (4024 O’Hara Street), where all members of the Pitt community can visit to select items of need.  

  • Pitt Pantry Food Lockers – Look for food lockers coming soon in Towers lobby.
  • Emergency Meal Assistance Program: Pitt’s short-term, emergency food assistance funding for any Pitt students (undergraduate, graduate, and professional) with emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances is ON HOLD.

    It previously included Includes 15 meal passes for dining halls.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP provides supplemental income for purchasing food for low-income households. 

Starting in March 2023, SNAP is accepted at the Forbes Street Market at 3955 Forbes Avenue. ALL SNAP users are welcome to frequent the Market!

Students are eligible if they are enrolled at least half time and have a FAFSA Expected Family Contribution of $0 OR are eligible to participate in the federal or state work-study program during the current academic year. Students are also eligible for SNAP if they have young children, have a disability, are working 20 hours a week or more, and other exceptions.
