Recycle

Pitt is committed to reducing landfill waste by 25% by 2030. Support this goal by recycling and composting! Pitt uses single-stream recycling—where paper, metal, plastic, and glass all go into one bin—but specialized recycling for textiles, batteries, electronics, and more can be found around campus. Learn more about our recycling, composting, and zero waste initiatives.

Check out our map of sustainable spots and take a walk to discover everything Pitt has to offer.

Thrive

At Pitt, we’re committed to ensuring every student has equal access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive—because we know that everyone’s circumstances are unique.
