Corey Flynn is the Program Manager in the University of Pittsburgh Office of Sustainability in the Health Sciences (OSHS).

Prior to officially joining Pitt’s Sustainability team, Corey spent seven years in the University’s School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS), both coordinating research and as a department administrator. She was also co-director of the David C. Frederick Honors College SCholarCHEF program and a Salk Health Activist Fellow.

In 2019, Corey received the Pitt Sustainability Award for Staff and in 2021, she received a MCSI John C. Mascaro Faculty Lectureship in Sustainability. She teaches a Sustainable Food Systems class in the Geology and Environmental Sciences program.

Corey’s other professional experience includes governmental, health, and academic work. She has a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Photography from California State University, Sacramento (CSUS) and a Master of Public Policy Management (MPPM) from the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, Corey completed a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Health & Physical Activity from Pitt’s School of Education. Her research focus is on nutrition insecurity among college students and how it impacts their mental and physical health and their academic success.
