As the Manager of Surpus Inventory, Karl Zellars directs surplus inventory day-to-day operations at the University of Pittsburgh. He leads the Pitt Surplus team and works closely with Logistics to coordinate collection and transportation of surplus property and specialty recycling including electronics, batteries, textiles, pipette tip boxes, and more. Karl manages sales, reuse, redistribution, donation, repurposing, and other means of materials diversion at Pitt.
Karl has over 10 years of experience in the salvage, sale and reuse of building materials. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications Rhetoric and a certificate in Corporate/Community Relations from the University of Pittsburgh.
