Zero Waste Working Group

The mission of the Zero Waste Working Group (ZWWG) of the Chancellor’s Advisory Council on Sustainability is to reduce waste & increase materials diversion from landfill at the University of Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh campus.

In 2025 and 2026, the ZWWG is charged with developing a “Single-Use Water Bottle Phase-Out Plan” to reduce single-use plastic water bottles sold or distributed on the Pittsburgh campus over 3 years.
