Edible Gardens

Edible gardens are a small but tangible expression of Pitt's commitment to sustainability. Growing food on campus connects students, staff, and community members to where their food comes from while supporting local food security and reducing environmental impact.

Plant 2 Plate Garden
Oakland Garden

The Oakland Garden, activated by the Plant 2 Plate student organization, grows fresh produce for local food pantries, including the Pitt Pantry, to help address food insecurity on campus and in the community.

Healthy Home Lab Garden
Healthy Home Lab: Age-Friendly Garden

The Age-Friendly Garden, built with support from the Pitt Green Fund, offers volunteering and learning opportunities for people of all ages to explore the lifelong benefits of gardening.
