Campus Tree Walks

Join us for a tree campus tour this spring with local nonprofit Tree Pittsburgh! Tours will be conducted Friday, April 5th at 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. You will learn about the tree species on campus, identification techniques and basic care tips.

Interested in getting more involved? Become a Tree Tender!

Pitt’s Tree Tender course is taught by Tree Pittsburgh and covers urban forestry practices, tree biology and health, basic tree identification, proper pruning and maintenance, and how to lead your community in organizing tree plantings and tree care.

Pitt community members can become certified for free by completing asynchronous virtual trainings and a competency quiz.
