Pitt Green Team is the University's first-year student sustainability engagement opportunity, run by the Student Office of Sustainability (SOOS).
First-year students who apply for and are selected for the Pitt Green Team move in early and receive Pitt Sustainability training and student mentoring. These first-year students have access to early exposure in sustainability practices at Pitt and how to get involved. During orientation students will meet other like-minded students, form connections with student sustainability leaders, and volunteer.
Throughout their first semester, Pitt Green Team will participate in sustainability-focused events and service. Participation in Pitt Green Team strongly contributes to the OCC Sustainability Badge and Sustainability Transcript Distinction.
Green Team applications open in July annually to allow for selection in time for early move-in.
