Fifth & Halket Building

Pursuing LEED Certification

The new 10-story University of Pittsburgh building located at Fifth Avenue and Halket Street consolidates all of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences’ programs under one roof.

The renovation includes a light-filled lobby, retail, modernized teaching and clinical training facilities, two floors of wet labs for the School of Medicine’s Department of Computational & Systems Biology, and the University’s new Center for Excellence in Digital Education (Pitt EDGE), which deploys online and hybrid education across the University’s 16 schools..

The 306,00 square foot building is pursuing LEED certification for both Core and Shell and the interior fit outs.
