Dolores Kirschner

Dolores “Dolly” Kirschner works as a Data Management Team Coordinator at NRG Oncology, Statistics and Data Management Center (SDMC), Pittsburgh Office in the School of Medicine. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Master of Public Health in Environmental and Occupational Health and a Master’s Level Certificate in Environmental Health Risk Assessment from the University of Pittsburgh. I am also a Certified Clinical Research Professional as well.

Being a lifelong learner, I am proud to have completed the Sustainability Professional Certificate, among other certificates offered through the Faculty and Staff Development Program. Through the sustainability classes I learned a lot about the multiple recycling programs at Pitt. Among them is Textile Recycling to collect clean, unusable, and end-of-life textiles to keep these out of the landfills. I personally find this to be a great way to discard of unusable clothes, shoes & fabric sewing scraps, which are only a few of the items that are accepted. Anyone can participate in the recycling collections around campus. The opportunity to be a Pitt Green Ambassador will help me, as well as the Pitt community expand our knowledge regarding sustainability efforts here at Pitt.
