Esmée de Cortie is Community Engagement Coordinator for the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation at the University of Pittsburgh.  As part of this work, she leads Pitt Sustainability-focused community partnerships and K-12 engagement.

Esmée previously served as Administrative Coordinator for the University of Pittsburgh’s Sustainability Sustainability team and as an Assistant at the Center for Sustainable Business here at Pitt.

She also worked as a field research assistant at Hubbard Brook Research Foundation in New Hampshire and as an undergraduate researcher assisting with ecology field studies on restoring native plant species in second growth Pennsylvania forests heavily invaded by invasive shrubs.

Esmée has a B.S. in Environmental Science from Chatham University. In her free time, she enjoys going for runs and taking care of her house plants.
