Pollinator Week 2023

Pollinator Week is an annual, international celebration of pollinator health. Celebrate pollinators with Pitt and spread the word about what we can do to protect pollinators worldwide.

More than 70% of flowering plant species rely on insects, birds, bats, and other animals to transport their pollen grains from plant to plant for fertilization. About 30% of the human diet is delivered by pollinators! Pollinator week is the perfect time to learn about, celebrate, and protect our pollinators.

Campus Tree Trek

Get outside and learn about the variety of tree species on Pitt’s campus.

This newly developed walking route has 17 trees equipped with educational signage to help you learn more about the trees on campus. The Campus Tree Trek highlights the beauty of trees on the University of Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh campus and the University’s commitment to growing tree canopy city-wide.
