The Appalachian Bridges to the future project earned a national Climate Luminary Honor for its work fostering economic developing and fighting brain drain in the region.

Just an hour’s drive from Pittsburgh, Fayette County is home to some of Pennsylvania’s most scenic areas, including Ohiopyle State Park, the Laurel Highlands and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater.

If you are a double “Yes!,” you could reduce your lab’s energy usage up to 80% by upgrading your ULT freezer to a much more efficient ENERGY STAR ULT freezer — with a 30% rebate from the University of Pittsburgh!

Pitt Achieves Organic Land Care Goal

As outlined in the Pitt Sustainability Plan, Pitt aimed to manage at least 75% of its landscaped areas in accordance with the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) Standards for Organic Land Care by 2024—a goal already being met through the efforts of our Facilities Management team.
